orangeeeeeeeeee friday?

its is 15 minutes till the weekend so i thought i would do a quick blog before the end of the day. i have been feeling extremely sick today but pleased with all the work i got done.

i firstly searched everything orange...traffic cones, tangerines, cheetos, jaffa cakes, oriole bird, ginger hair! i also looked through vogue and other magazines and found two really nice orangy adverts. i have been looking at orange skirts and different styles. i really like the thought of tiger print or snake print skirt.

WOW HAVEN'T DONE THIS FOR A WHILE

helloooo everyone

i have got my first interview on wednesday and i am so scared! being the committed student that i am, i have come in on my day off to catch up on blogging and also to finish off the final touches to my folio.

i had my mock interview yesterday with gayle and it was so scary and embarassing. thank god the snow has gone/is going because i have got to drive to swansea tomorrow and i am the world's worst driver. leets hope i get there safely.

today i am going a photoshoot of my umbrella and so my car is comvered in straw (yes, i made a straw umbrella)

thought i would do a small blog this morning but i will be hopefully blogging later with my photos :)

weekend starts with a trip to brighton

hey ladddddddddds ;)

yesterday, we had an amzing trip to brighton to see make 11, which is a craft fair. i loved it and all the work well so well made and original too. my favourite artists were lara sparks, betty pepper and ros lymer. here is lara sparks website and her little show at the exhibtion.

so after having a lloving time looking around and wishing i had more money, we went shopping in brighton and also went to the beach which was very cold but a good day!

BROLLYYYYYY

so i have been researching into umbrella's which is actually quite interesting, well, more interesting than wasps and spinning tops! i am just learning about the contruction of the umbrella and looking at the first brolly shop in london which looks sooo coooll and vintage, i wanna go to it :) its called James Smith & Sons and was opened in 1830.

next time i go to london i am getting a funky brolly from this shop :D

also whilst researching umbrellaaaaa's, i came across umbrella boutique which look very elegant and sophiscated, just like me NOT ;) but i like their wedding brolly's and i klike the background of their website. and suprise suprise they have a blog too, check it out the wedding photos are beautiful on here...

AAAAAAHHHHH PORTFOLIO'S START IN LESS THAN TWO WEEKS OH MY GOD!!! AND THEN UCAS APPLICATION AND I AM SO NOT READY FOR THIS!!!

oh AND actually last thing... this is nothing to do with art but i  am starting a new sprt today called vaulting which i am so excited about!! hopefully soon i will look like this...

so lets get started

its come to that time at the end of the project like it always does where you are in a manic rush to finish everything. saturday morning, sitting on my bed with a laptop and sketchbook, still in my onsie, listening to jls, with the dog :) however i am looking forard to designing my umbrella! this spinning top project i seem to have done loaaads of photography, which ois fine as i really enjoy it, but my sketchbook seems to be full if pictures! Gayle keeps telling me she'll soon be ripping up my book for portfolio's, which even the thought of makes me feel sick, my work is not at a good eough standard yet. however i carry on powering on!
